New Bed and Breakfast Offers Hospitality with 1950’s Flair
Arlington, Wisconsin -- Feb 4, 2007 --

Vacationers can now “take a road trip back in time to the 1950's” at Prairie Splendor Farm Bed and Breakfast in Arlington, Wisconsin.

This unique bed and breakfast is meticulously decorated from floor to ceiling in 1950’s furniture and memorabilia. Host Annette Currie invites guests to relax and reminisce the “good old days” by listening to the best of rock-n-roll; reading magazines, newspapers, and books from the 50’s; and watching golden-oldie movies.

The B&B’s four rooms feature icons from the era and are themed: Movie Stars and Cinema; Greatest Hollywood Love Stories; Fashion and Music; and Vintage Cars and Tractors.

For breakfast, Currie dons her “June Cleaver” style apron and pearls and serves up a full country breakfast, including: eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes and homemade bakery items. The classic 50’s kitchen features formica tables, a yellow and red linoleum floor, a pristine 50’s Frigidaire stove and refrigerator, fiesta ware, innovative 50’s kitchen gadgets, and more.

Conveniently located just 20 minutes north of Madison in South Central Wisconsin (2 miles east of I-90 on Hwy 60 – exit 119/Arlington), Prairie Splendor Farm Bed and Breakfast makes for an ideal jumping off point for outdoor adventure, family fun, antiquing, and conventions.
